I think it’s safe to say that Brexit came as a bit of a surprise, after all even Nigel Farage wasn’t expecting to win – and he made getting Britain out of the EU his life’s work.
But whilst surprises are great for birthday parties they aren’t so good for the economy. A recent study by the Institute of Directors has actually revealed that 1 in 5 businesses are looking to move their operations out of the UK amidst fears of instability in the financial markets.
In the wake of the UK voting to leave the EU, Foxtons and JP Morgan have both spoken out about their fears, whilst HSBC have already announced that they will potentially be moving 1,000 jobs out of London. It’s not just instability that’s scaring businesses though, and Vodafone have warned that they could leave the UK in the event of Britain losing its access to the EU’s free movement of people, capital and goods.
Volatile markets, a fluctuating economy and an uncertain future are all pretty scary but we’re proud to say that RMP will be staying right where we are – at the heart of the UK’s creative and professional hub!
We know that the next few years are sure to be a bit bumpy but we’re confident in our ability to continue delivering results that span countries – and even continents. That’s because over the past 20 years we’ve worked with brands in over 30 countries, acting as the bridge between some of the world’s biggest, smallest and best-loved brands and their consumers in different countries.
